this is different from a geforce..|||yes it will work. However how much memory is going to affect how fast or slow your game will run.|||your memory is really bad, especially if ur using windows vista. vista alone needs 512 mb of ram to run efficiently let alone the game.|||Forget the previous responses.
The memory on your GPU is perfectly fine.
Basically, your computer will be able to run BF2 at low-medium settings depending on resolution and options selected. BF2142 should be kept at a very low medium.
How much memory do you have on your computer? To run BF2 on windows, EA recommends 1 gig. Although 1.5 is becoming the norm for BF2142.
I have two.

How do I setup composite (not s-video) tv-out for old Satellite 1800 laptop?
I have a tv-out rca video port for Trident Cyberblade-Ai1 AGP video accelerator card connected to rca composite video (yellow) input on tv. I have WinXP & tried various options in the ctrl panel display settings & in the trident s/w settings. When connected to av input on vcr I get no response on the tv. When connected direct to av input on tv I get flickers when I apply display settings changes.
The MS help said I should add 2nd display adptr in device manager - Really? Should I?
Is it a frequency issue? I'm lost......*sigh*|||You need a video card, which, if your laptop doesn't have one, is extremely hard to put on manually.|||The windows device manager as really limited function sometimes there is extra add by the video card drivers. But the windows device manager should do the job.
On the desktop right click then go properties -> Settings (tab) -> click on the second monitor in the select drop down choose the correct output and set the correct resolution settings.
Hope it helps

S-video to composite on Nvidia GTX280?
Decided to drag my old Projection style big screen tv out of the garage and put it in my room. My PC is running a single Nvidia 280 GTX. I'm wanting to hook the tv up to my computer via an s-video to composite adapter. I already have 2 monitors hooked up to my DVI ports, and my card does have an s-video port on it. Anyone know if I'm going to have any problems getting my TV to work as a 3rd "monitor" or am I going to be wasting my time dragging my huge and HEAVY TV into my room? I've never tried a setup like this, so I figured I'd ask first before I do any heavy lifting lol. Please, only those that know for a fact as to whether this will/will not work reply, no speculation, por favor.
Thanks in advance.|||The GTX280's GPU is designed to support TWO displays only.
You will NOT be able to use your old TV as a third monitor on that GTX280.
Triple-monitor support did not arrive for consumer-grade single-GPU video cards until ATI released their Radeon HD5000-series late last year (and the third monitor is required to have a DisplayPort jack).|||s-video is using a different type of signal compared to composite.. 99.9% sure its not working unless the adapter is converting the signal..
the signal will only be a copy of on of the monitors, so i would rather se if u can hook it up to one of the dvi ports (depending on inputs on the tv u might need a dvi-hdmi/vga adapter)...|||Dont think you can use all 3 outputs at the same time my friend. SVGA will give a rubbish picture anyway for a large screen, you need to use one of the DVI's

Does this Video Card support S-Video out?
I have this Inno3d Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT 256MB, here's the link to it
http://www.inno3d.com/products/graphic_c…
I tried using the "S-Video to Composite" cable, from the Video Card's S-Video to the TV's Composite, and no matter what I did, it won't work. So do you have any other suggestions?
If the above won't work, I planned to use "VGA to Composite/S-Video" cable since my video card has a VGA port. Now the question is, would that work? Does my video card support TV-out through its VGA?
Please and thank you, I've tried the net and found nothing so far. Thanks|||Did you choose Clone in your graphics card display options?
VGA to Composite/S-Video cables usually won't work unless the card/computer specifically allows it. More often than not it doesn't.|||yes but a lot of people are complaining that they have problems with it

What is a good Video Card brand with an NVIDIA chipset?
I'm shopping around for desktop video cards. I just want a higher quality manufacturer (like Maxtor is to hard drives) and I would like it to have an NVIDIA-made chipset. Also a Composite-Video our S-Video out will be necessary. I don't want something over-priced or that lights up or anything fancy, I just want something that isn't going to have any kinds of problems.|||Try going with EVGA. I build computers for myself, friends and relatives, and I always use EVGA cards with nVidia chipsets. They are available at Circuit City. But it is much cheaper to buy them online at newegg.com. Try this link:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…
I have it narrowed down to EVGA cards with nVidia chipsets. I don't know what type of interface you need (AGP, PCIe, etc.) or what size of memory you want. You'll have to sort by the interface first, and then see which ones left have the video out that you want. Then pick the amount of memory you want from what's left of those.
Also see evga.com.
Hope this helps!|||I'd stick with nVidia.

Computer (integrated graphics card) to TV (red, white, yellow composite) help?
I am looking for a way to output video and audio to my TV. My TV only has the three color composite in and coaxial in. My computer only has VGA monitor out and mini stereo out. It would be great if there was a cable that had VGA and mini stereo to three color AV composite. Also, if there is something that took the graphics card output and outputs coaxial. I have an integrated graphics card and I am trying to do this in the least amount of money possible. Thanks for any help.|||you could try look for those kinda cables in computer hardware shops

not sure whether it will work
but if it does, its a preety cheap solution

Fuzzy reception in my video card tv out?
I recently hooked my pc to my television with a s video out from my video card. I used a S-video to composite cable since my television does not have a s-video socket. its works but im getting a fuzzy picture in my television. can any one help?|||Unfortunately, that's S-video and composite for you. Those are low-resolution video signals from the days of old boob-tube TVs and that's all they are capable of. They deliver poor video quality and there is nothing you can do to improve it.
In the future, you might consider buying an LCD HDTV with HDMI ports. Those are capable of high-resolution and can be connected to any PC with either a DVI or HDMI port (yes, DVI is compatible with HDMI). And it looks light years better than S-video or composite.

Video Card Question Pls Help?
My video card ATI Radeon 9550 AGP 256 MB Video Memory 8X/4X, when i switch my display to my T.V. through a S-Video cable and I cain't read the text can you help me pls also I heard you cain't read text on your T.V. unless you have a composite video cable to read the text on your T.V. through the video card is this true (I hope it aint) Thanx for your help and 10 points to the person with the best response. :)|||Tvs if they are not high definition run at 480 horizontal pixels. MOst HDTVs run at 720 horzontal pixels. On top of that regular Tvs produce every other pixel on the TV at a time. So it tends to get blurry when it interlaces. It will produce lines 2,4,6,8... all the way to line 480 and then it will start at 1,3,5... Composit shows all 480 in order so it doesnt tend to blur. That or all the Ki waves you sent out must have taken some enrgy out of the TV. You gotta stop turning supersaijin when watching Hardball or Crossfire.|||For me it was hard to read text It has to be fairly large to see it. Plus TV's run at a lower resolution so decreasing it will make your text larger and easier to read. Using a different cable like a composite won't help as far as that goes. My only suggestion is to lower the resolution being put out from your video card or make the font bigger.|||Depending on what you are trying to do, you might want to check out Windows Media Center edition. I only played around with it for a short time, but it seemed to be pretty decent in some aspects.

IF YOU GUYS WANT IT.|||the third one is definetly the best choice.|||either the 6200 or the x1550 'should ' be more than enough.. granted, you're probably only going to get a max playable resolution of 1024x768 (mainly because your on the old PCI bus, and the cards only have 4 pixel pipelines)..

Is there any software out there that can display raw video from the composite source of my tv tuner?
I have a Hauppauge WinTV 1800 and I'm trying to connect my PS2 to the composite input, but every media player I've tried implements some kind of buffer which creates a slight delay. Is there anything out there that can access the raw feed directly from my tuner card so there isn't any lag? I've already tried Media Center, WinTV, WinAVI, and Dscaler :/|||You might look for a setting called Game Mode. That turns off the pre-encoding and just passes through the video to the monitor. In my experience this isn't quite as good as a live feed though as I think there's still a slight delay. The only cards I know of to have no delay were tuners built into the motherboard or AGP graphics cards with tuners. Unfortunately this list includes an old Macintosh Performa 630CD and a recent eVGA PersonalCinema GeForce 5700 FX. lol Oh well.
Game Mode. That might help you.|||Look for A program Called Intervideo Home Theater thats what I use to record my xbox 360 games... and It works fine.

Radeon 4670
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
GeForce GT240
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
Radeon 5670
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
All of those cards run fine with a 400W power supply and cost under $100.
The next higher card is the GeForce 9800GT, which also runs on a 400W power supply but is slightly more expensive.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
Here's how they all compare:

The Radeon 5670 has the distinction of being the only card in the bunch which supports DirectX 11- all of the others are DX10 cards.|||ok heres my current backbone setup for my desktop, it plays crysis on almost max settings at 40 FPS, this should help yu set up a good gaming rig
CPU intel core 2 quad 2.66 ghz OC'd to 2.8 ghz

1 64GB SSD (OS and small-medium speed essential programs)
1 1024 GB 5200 RPM hard drive (music and movies)
all of that in my favorite easy to use case, the cooler master sniper full tower.
entire build was $~2000
i have yet to find something it cant run.|||try the ati 5670,its VERY cheap, but if you want more performance there is the ati 5770,both don't require much power, the 5670 is ok with 400w according to the makers of it,but the 5770 well need more than 450w. as i already said both are cheap but not that much Performance.
make sure your mother board has a PCI Express slot for these cards to get into.
What software should i use to record from composite video to my PC?
I have a mini DV camcorder but i cant seem to get the fire wire to work on my computer so i want to use the composite input on my ausus tv tunner card to record the movies i have on it. I also need to use this connection to record off a super-8 video camera and a few vcr tapes.
I got the TotalMedia 3.5 with my tuner card but every time i try to capture off the composite input it freezes the frame and stops recording( and no, im not hitting capture frame) it work for about half a minute one time i tried it but thats *** good as i have gotten.
So what is a good free(or at least has a free trial) software that i can do this with?|||Download Adobe Premier. It's the most professional program you'll find out there.

VGA port conversion DVI or TV out (S-Video or Composite Video)?
I currently have a monitor connected to the HDMI port on my graphics card but want to span my desktop across to a second monitor. The other ports on my card are DVI and TV out (S-Video or Composite Video). Is there an adaptor to attach my VGA connector from my second monitor into one of these?
The computer i have as a HP Pavillion with a nVidia GeForce 8400GS (ranger200) Graphics Card. It has a VGA port on the motherboard which i could plug the second monitor into but this will not work as the presence of a graphics card disables this output. Is there a way to use this port to allow my second monitor to work?
Any ideas?
Thanks.|||Older video cards that had VGA and DVI for its 2 ports typically came with a DVI to VGA adapter plug so you could use VGA from the DVI port (which has enough pins that it is capable of digital and analog). But some DVI cables only have wires/pins for digital.
So your best bet is to try a DVI to VGA adapter that plugs into the video card end, and VGA cable.|||DVI Converters are available.

ANyways i tried on moviemaker, and went to the capture video, and the xbox was displayed there, but the screen is like 300x300 so i need some other software to view this...plz help|||First, use a program called VLC, or videolan, which a awesome freeware capture, video, and media player to use it with your xbox at any resolution. Second what is the name of your capture card? etc.ATI. You should also use S-video rather then composite because picture will be sharper and way nicer looking then the composite cables which would have blurry text and capturing alittle worse. Here's the source for that videolan or VLC program.

Would I be able to connect my PC (Radeon HD 3200 video card) to a TV using a VGA to composite dongle?
I would, ideally, like to be able to hook up my computer to my older TV with one of those VGA to composite cables you can find on eBay for ~$3. What video card for best resolution , pc to tv? Specs. ect...?
Tv is a Samsung HDTV 1080i. Has S- video & composite .
Resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 i believe. About 21" x 16 " screen.
Pc is Dell Dimension 3000 , Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz 2.79 GHz, 512 MB RAM. Hopeing to use as monitor & watch movies. Looking for best resolution.
What specs for video card . MB's of memory ect... .|||I'm guessing that's an agp port?
Get the new ati hd3850 agp. It's the fastest agp card on the market. Will cost around 250
Or go with the hd 2600 pro for 100 if money is a problem.
2600xt for 160 would be in the middle.
256mb is all you need for memory. 512 doesn't help the speed much in some cases they will even use slower ram on the 512 boards making it over all slower.
So watch if it's ddr2 or ddr3
Better to get a 256mb of ddr3 then 512 ddr2
Both cards support vista but only the 3850 will play future games. You will have to upgrade all your system.
Watch out and make sure you power supply has the power for new cards. Dell has some good power supplies but you can only push them so hard.

How can I connect a video card with hdmi to a tv without hdmi ports?
My new video card has only HDMI to connect my tv (both DVI ports are already busy with monitors) and my tv only have composite, component and s-video and is a good big tv I don't want to replace, also want to buy a apple tv2 which only have HDMI.
What adapter or cable can I buy to use it to connect my video card (via HDMI) or and apple tv2 (via HDMI) to my tv with only composite, component or s-video inputs???|||Not sure if you get HDMI to S-video, but what you can do is get HDMI to DVI converter, then DVI to s-video converter. That should work.

What Video Card Can I Buy For A HP Pavilion p6210f PC?
Since now I know that nVidia 9100 can't run World At War (Thanks to IronFrunk for the info), now what I want to know is what card is the best card compatible with my computer, which is a HP Pavilion p6210f

Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated :)|||Neither your office depot or the HP site tells you what size PSU your computer has. If you open the case and take a look at the PSU we could give a better answer.
As far as the " BEST card that fits into my system's motherboard", that would be the ATI 5890. But you may not have enough PSU to run it.|||ATI 4550 or 9400 GT will run on the stock 300 watt power supply.

a good video card :P|||You can use any PCIe video card. But you may need to upgrade your power supply. You'll need a minimum of 400-450watts to power pretty much any decent video card. Also, make sure the power supply has at least 1 6-pin PCIe connector. This is required to be plugged into the back of the video card, without it the card won't power up. I believe the HP Pavilion p6210f has a 300 watt power supply.
Power supplies are cheap, you can get a good 500 watt (although over 500 watts would be recommend, but not necessary) for under $60.
However, be aware that some video cards are large and my not fit in your computer case.
Since the minimum is a 6600GT, go with a GeForce 9 series card (or ATI equivalent) at the very least.
Something like an Nvidia GeForce 9800GT (or GTX) or an ATI Radeon HD 4830 (or 4850).
I mean, you can go lower than that, but you can run pretty much any game with either of those cards.
If you can afford it, go even higher than those cards, because you'll be ensuring that you can power some games released over the next 2 years or so.
Just make sure it'll fit (physically) in your computer case. So don't go for any OC (overclocked) edition cards.
By the way... I have that monitor, it's awesome hahaha.

What is the best software for capturing composite video on PC?
I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500 MCE tuner card. I am able to watch and record television from the cable input, and for the most part that is fine.
However, I am having difficulty finding an adequate program that can display and record from the composite video input of the card. I want to connect my Wii and other consoles to it so I can use them on my monitor instead of a television and be able to record gameplay. The ones I've used so far either look good and have sound but there's a lag of a matter of seconds, have no sound, have low framerate in full screen, or have other various problems.
Am I missing the standard for this? Does anyone know of a good program--preferably free, but I'm willing to pay--that displays input with good quality and with sound and with no lag? Do I need a Divx codec to record video in reasonable size?|||Get Wondershare DemoCreator, Democreator creates software tutorial and presentation by recording screen, but more than a screen recorder, you can record all the actions taking on the application and then add some tips or instructions to it, even more, you can easily add the narration from microphone or import audio file directly. At last, you can publish it to Flash, auto-run CD, EXE, e-mail, ftp, LMS. As you know, flash file has smaller size and is safer for transmission, i think it will be useful for you!
Good luck!
Cheers!
You can try it for free to see if it works for what you need it for.

Is it possible to change the video card in a laptop computer?
I have a Gateway MX6030 laptop and since the video card only supports a VGA connector, would it be possible to replace it with a card that supports either S-Video out or composite video out (preferably composite out)? Note that I don't just need the video card itself, but the adapters as well that would allow me to send composite or S-Video out.|||It is more difficult in Laptops then normal PCs. Basically, I have a video device that outputs either composite or S video. What I am wondering is how can I get the output of the video device on to my laptop? Is there a certain card I need to install?

How do you see images being transferred from an S-Video to composite adapter?
I recently got a video card that came with and S-Video to composite adapter and I want to hook one of my game systems up to my computer through it. How can I get the image to appear on my monitor? My monitor is a VGA. It connects to the graphics card port in the back of my computer. Next to it is the composite port that I'm plugging the adapter into right now. And I don't think this is relevant, but next to the composite on the other side is a VGA port. Thanks for any help!|||It really depends if the composite is an input or output. If it is an output, will have to convert your game system output to vga and plug it directly into the monitor or use a KVM to switch between the game system and your computer.
If it is an input, like for a capture card, you need some capture software to render on the screen what is being input.
Hope that makes sense.
Good Luck!
